The Turkish Space Agency (TUA) is the state agency responsible for the preparation and implementation of the strategic plans governing the medium and long term goals on aeronautics and space activities. TUA also has the responsibility of representing Türkiye in all international organizations in the field of space, coordinating the work being conducted, determining national strategies, reducing external dependence, increasing competitive power, and utilization of outer space for peaceful purposes. TUA was established by the Presidential Decree No.23 in December 2018. Turkish space activity is guided by the National Space Program Strategy, which outlines coordination and execution of visions, strategies, goals and projects of Türkiye in outer space including aspects of space security.
