Trinidad and Tobago has engaged in international frameworks on space security and governance. The country is party to the Outer Space Treaty, acceded to the Liability Convention, has ratified the Partial Test Ban Treaty and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
Trinidad and Tobago acceded to the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention, and is a Member State to the International Telecommunication Union.
Domestically, the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Authority (TTCAA), established in 2001, plays a role in regulating satellite communications, aviation security and airspace management.
