Togo has engaged in international space governance through various treaties and is party to the Outer Space Treaty, the Liability Convention and the Partial Test Ban Treaty.
As a member State to the African Union, Togo adheres to the established space framework by the African Union including key positions like the African Space Policy and African Space Strategy. Togo is also a member of the African Space Agency.
The defence apparatus is coordinated through the Ministry of National Defence.
