Suriname actively engages in international treaties and UN processes relevant to space security. The country is a party to the Partial Test Ban Treaty and ratified the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT).
Suriname is a Member State to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and has ratified the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention. The country is also a subscribing state to the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation.
