The Polish Space Agency (POLSA) is the primary agency for polish space matters. The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the Inter-ministerial Team for Space Policy within, coordinate the activities of the government administration in the field of Polish space policy and space activities. Polish outer space activity is guided by the current Polish Space Strategy. Furthermore, as a member State to the European Union, Poland adheres to the established space framework by the European Union including key positions like the Space Strategy for Europe and the European Union Space Strategy for Security and Defence.

Poland has established the position of Plenipotentiary for space matters of the Ministry of National Defence and has announced the establishment of a space forces command as part of the development of the Polish Armed Forces plan.
