The Philippine Space Act is the key piece of legislation governing Philippine space activity. The act established the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) and provides a framework for creation of the Philippine Space Development and Utilization Policy. The policy will serve as the country’s primary strategic roadmap for space development and will embody the country’s central goal of becoming a space-capable and space-faring nation within the next decade.

Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) serves as the primary government agency addressing national issues and activities related to space science and technology applications. The Philippine Space Council is the principal advisory body for the coordination and integration of policies, programs and resources that affect space science and technology applications. The director general of PhilSA serves as the Head Secretariat for the Philippine Space Council.
