Niger ratified the Outer Space Treaty, the Rescue Agreement, the Liability Convention and the Registration Convention. The country has also ratified the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention. Niger is a member State to the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, International Telecommunication Union, the African Space Agency, and a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation. The state has bilateral cooperation with Russia through Glavkosmos as well as together with the Alliance of Sahel States for the acquisition and deployment of remote sensing satellites and radar technology. As a member State to the African Union, Niger adheres to the established space framework by the African Union including key positions like the African Space Policy and African Space Strategy.
