Niger ratified the Outer Space Treaty, the Rescue Agreement, the Liability Convention and the Registration Convention. The country has also ratified the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention.

Niger is a member State to the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, International Telecommunication Union, the African Space Agency, and a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation.

As a member State to the African Union, Niger adheres to the established space framework by the African Union including key positions like the African Space Policy and African Space Strategy.
