Mongolia’s “Vision 2050” development policy outlines the country’s intent to integrate space technologies into national disaster management and to strengthen domestic capacity in space research and applications. In 2022, the National Space Council was established to support policy development and coordination in the field of space science and technology. Mongolia is also a party to the Outer Space Treaty and the Rescue Agreement, and participates in international forums such as the Conference on Disarmament and the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
