<p>The Maldives Space Research Organisation (MSRO) is a non-governmental organisation established in 2022 that works in partnership with the Maldives national government. MSRO's mission is to foster a space sector in the Maldives, to promote climate resilience, to protect the Maldives maritime domain and for socio-economic development. MSRO works with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology across different projects including Earth observation and maritime domain awareness.</p><p>The Maldives has ratified the Rescue Agreement and is a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct against Ballistic Missile Proliferation.</p>
