The Lithuanian Space Association was established in 2010. The Lithuanian Space Policy is formulated by the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania. Key space security positions include Lithuania's political commitment not to conduct direct-ascent anti-satellite tests.
Lithuania is party to the Outer Space Treaty, Rescue Agreement, Liability Convention, Registration Convention, and Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. Lithuania remains engaged regionally and internationally through their associate membership within the European Space Agency and participation in the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation and Wassenaar Arrangement.
