Lebanon's National Center for Remote Sensing, established in 1995 under the National Council for Scientific Research, is the national authority for satellite data and geospatial technologies.
In terms of space treaties, Lebanon is party to the Outer Space Treaty, the Rescue Agreement, the Registration Convention and the Moon Agreement, the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention.
Lebanon is also a member State the Arab Space Cooperation Group where it is represented by the National Center for Remote Sensing.
