Iran's space programme is managed by Iranian Space Agency which is overseen by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Along with the Agency, the country had also established the Supreme Space Council which is responsible for policy-making on space issues. Iran Space Research Center was also created within the Agency for research and development of space launch vehicle technologies.
In terms of space treaties, Iran is a party to the Rescue Agreement, the Liability Convention, the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention. Additionally, Iran is also a member State to the International Telecommunication Union, Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space and the Conference on Disarmament. The country is also a member in Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum and the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO).
