Guyana does not have a space programme but has shown support for space security through international cooperation. It signed the Outer Space Treaty in 1967 and ratified the Rescue Agreement in 1969. As a member of the International Telecommunication Union since 1967 and a subscriber to the Hague Code of Conduct since 2003, Guyana supports responsible satellite use and missile non-proliferation. In 2023, Guyana also contributed to space security discussions at the UN Disarmament Commission.
