Guatemala is party to the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention. Guatemala is also a Member State of ITU, a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct against Ballistic Missile Proliferation (HCoC), and signatory to the Latin American and Caribbean Space Agency (ALCE).

A key space security position, is Guatemala's political commitment not to be the first to place weapons in outer space policy.
