The Hellenic Space Center is the body responsible for all space activities in Greece, including the formulation and implementation of national space strategy and action plan, coordination and management of national space projects and international collaboration.
Greece is a party to the Outer Space Treaty, Rescue Agreement, Liability Convention, and Registration Convention. It has also ratified the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention. Greece is also a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation, a partner in the Missile Technology Control Regime and the Wassenaar Arrangement.
As a member State to the European Union, Greece adheres to the established space framework by the European Union including key positions but not limited to the Space Strategy for Europe and the European Union Space Strategy for Security and Defence, and the political commitment not to conduct destructive, direct-ascent anti-satellite (ASAT) missile testing.
