Gambia is party to the Rescue Agreement, the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, and a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct on Ballistic Missile Proliferation.

The country is a member State to the International Telecommunication Union and the African Space Agency.

As a member State to the African Union, Gambia adheres to the established space framework by the African Union including key positions like the African Space Policy and African Space Strategy.
