Gabonese Agency for Space Studies and Observationsv(AGEOS), established in 2010, is responsible for implementing the Government's policy regarding the collection, analysis and provision of data from spatial observation.
Gabon is party to the Rescue Agreement, the Liability Convention, the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty as well as a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation. The country is a member State to the International telecommunication Union and the African Space Agency.
As a member State to the African Union, Gabon adheres to the established space framework by the African Union including key positions like the African Space Policy and African Space Strategy.
