<p>Fiji does not have an established space programme. Fiji is a State Party to the Outer Space Treaty, Rescue Agreement and the Liability Convention. Fiji is also a Member State of the International Telecommunication Union and a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct. In 2024, Japan and Fiji signed a <a href="https://www.fiji.gov.fj/Media-Centre/News/FIJI-REAFFIRMS-COMMITMENT-TO-STRENGTHEN-COLLABORAT" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Memorandum of Cooperation</a> for the Early Warning Satellite System (EWSS) using Japan's Quasi-Zenith Satellite System.</p>
