Denmark’s space activities are overseen by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science which was established under the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. The Agency is the space authority in Denmark and is responsible for the approval, control and registration of the launch of space objects. Space activities in Denmark are governed by Law No. 409 of 11 May 2016 and are guided by the National Space Strategy of 2021. As a member State to the European Union, Denmark adheres to the established space framework by the European Union including but not limited to the Space Strategy for Europe and the European Union Space Strategy for Security and Defence, and the political commitment not to conduct destructive, direct-ascent anti-satellite (ASAT) missile testing.
