Czechia's space programme is governed by the National Space Plan 2020-2025, which provides the strategy for further developing the capacities and capabilities of industry and academia in space activities. The Ministry of Transport is responsible for the coordination of all space activities in Czechia.
Czechia's strategic documents also mention space as one of the important operational domains. Czechia is a party to the Outer Space Treaty, Rescue Agreement, Liability Convention and the Registration Convention. The country is also a party to the Partial Test Ban Treaty, the CTBT and a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct.
As a member State to the European Union, Czechia adheres to the established space framework by the European Union including key positions including but not limited to the Space Strategy for Europe and the European Union Space Strategy for Security and Defence, and the political commitment not to conduct destructive, direct-ascent anti-satellite (ASAT) missile testing.
