The Republic of the Congo is a party to the International Telecommunication Constitution and Convention, Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation.

As a Member State to the African Union, Congo adheres to the established space framework by the African Union, including key positions like the African Space Policy and African Space Strategy.

The Republic of the Congo has also made the political commitment not to be the first to place weapons of any kind in outer space.
