<p>Azerbaijan's space programme is a civil space programme. Azerbaijan established its space agency, <a href="https://azercosmos.az/en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Azercosmos</a>, in 2010 as a Joint Stock Company, which was later restructured into a Public Legal Entity in 2021 under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport through a Presidential Decree. Azerbaijan enacted its <a href="https://cms.spacesecurityportal.org/uploads/AZ_Space_Activity_Law_eng_b29d4f8e68.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Law on Space Activities</a> in 2023. </p><p>Azerbaijan acceded to the Outer Space Treaty in 2013 and the country is a subscribing State to the Hague Code of Conduct Against Ballistic Missile Proliferation.</p>
