Argentina's primary space agency is the National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE). CONAE's mission is to propose and implement the National Space Plan, which includes the Strategic Plan in order to provide information and foster space activities and collaboration of space science and technology for peaceful purposes. The most updated version of the National Space Plan is the plan of 2016-2027, which was approved by the Board of Directors of the CONAE. Security and defence space activities are overseen through joint collaboration between the Joint Aerospace Command and the Argentina Air Force under the Ministry of Defence.
